2015 appears to be the year for unique wrap applications. We’re finding ourselves applying vinyl to so many diverse surfaces. Pictured below are before and after images of a large project the IDWraps.com installation team executed this Summer for Mack Trucks. The folks at this great American manufacturer approached us looking for an alternative to traditional paint jobs on their aging lift fleet. The goals were not only to improve the appearance of the units, but to also increase visibility which would greatly improve safety at their warehouses and plants. Vinyl wrapping made a ton of sense, as we had each lift wrapped in a couple hours each, which minimized down time, and the wraps were able to be done in the plant in many convenient sites most convenient for our client. In addition, there were zero paint fumes to deal with. Their spaces are super active and everything moves fast, so it is extremely important that these lifts are easily seen. Our 3M and PDAA Master certified installers applied 3M’s 1080 bright yellow film, which is most commonly used on vehicle color change wraps. The material properties allowed us to conform to every curve on the lift exteriors. The removable adhesive system on these films allow for very efficient repairs, should an operator run into ‘things.” Do you run into things with your equipment? Give us a shout and perhaps we could wrap it: All challenging surfaces welcomed!
