Our garage smelled faintly of baby back ribs this past week, as we worked on a special show piece wrap for TransEdge’s Mack Grill truck. What’s a Mack Grill truck? That’s exactly what we wondered as we embarked on this journey with TransEdge. Take a classic cab from a vintage 1970’s Mack tractor trailer, and mash it up with a grill (and not the grille you may expect for a vehicle) and you’ll get the one-of-a-kind Mack Grill, called “MAX”. Showcasing their skills at their modification center, this grill functions as would any other, and commemorates TransEdge Truck Centers 30th year in business. TransEdge regularly uses the grill during company and customer events in the warmer months, so we got this truck all wrapped up and ready in time for the season to get grilling!
This custom piece has been in use for about a year now and required a full rewrap to give it a fresh new look. Decked out in Trans Edge colors, with a sparkling red base, the design calls to the era of the cab, and showcases the retro TransEdge logo. Our owner personally handled a majority of the install on this piece himself, which required his care of working with a high metallic wrap film, and an abundance of knifeless tape to ensure no harm would come to the grill. But can’t handle the heat gun? Stay out of the garage.
