Dorney Park Food Truck Wrap

One way we know that we are gearing up for a fun-filled summer is the influx of wraps we’ve been doing with local event centers, like Wind Creek in Bethlehem. However, the food truck wrap we just did for Dorney Park is all the proof we need that Summer 2021 is here to make up for all the lost fun of 2020.

Let’s face it, this past year has been nothing but normal. Last summer should have been filled with the typical adventures like beach trips, camping, and other outdoor activities. Instead, we were stuck in the house, taking necessary (albeit boring) steps to slow the spread of COVID-19. Now, with the wide availability of the COVID vaccines, it’s looking like Summer 2021 will be a return to some sense of normalcy.

We’ve worked with Dorney Park on many projects over the years, including Camp Snoopy and their Halloween Haunt events (you can check out some of our Dorney Park projects here). This time around, we removed an aged wrap, and gave their food truck a fresh and clean new look!

Before: Faded and Cracking

The old wrap on the food truck had certainly seen it’s better days. On the photos above, you can see some lifting, cracking, peeling, and discoloration. These are the tell-tale signs that a wrap has reached the end of it’s lifespan. Not to worry, IDWraps is able to remove even the most damaged wraps, without damaging the vehicle. This removal took our installers nearly a full week, but the end result, and the smiles from the Dorney Park team, were well worth all the work.

Once the wrap was removed, we swapped the red and black design out for a bright teal and blue design. We upgraded the grayscale photos to high-resolution images that scream FUN!

After: Bright and Eye-Catching

The new design features a deep blue wave shape complete with an amusement-goer on a raft, a nod to their waterpark, Wildwater Kingdom. Toward the front of the truck, there are some ghosted accents of popular Dorney rides. Can you spot the Dominator and the famed Steel Force in the vibrant teal background?

The driver side of the truck highlights their roller coaster Talon, which adds a pop of complimentary colors to the wrap. The passenger side accents their classic Wooden Coaster Thunderhawk, which received ACE Coaster Landmark designation in 2020.

Keep your eyes out for this food truck around Dorney Park this summer! The park will reopen for the 2021 season on Saturday, May 22.
