A Pink Cadillac Wrap Fit for a King

A vintage black Cadillac rolled into our garage, and we were instantly transported back to the 1960’s.. Mike Mittman, the lead talent for iHeartMedia’s Real Oldies station, always dreamed of having a bright pink Cadillac à la the King of Rock & Roll. Working with sponsorship from St. Luke’s and Amey’s Garage, we were brought in to make his dream a reality with a pink Cadillac wrap fit for the king!

Our in house designer, Kaitlin, worked closely with the iHeart and St.Luke’s teams to get things perfect! The design for the Cadillac was inspired by the art of its era. The late 1960’s was defined by psychedelic works, pop art, and the hippie movement. We incorporated those themes through dreamy magenta clouds, sparkle icons, and a large record going through the wheel well. Instead of retro bubblegum pink, we used a more modern tone for a lush feel fitting of the 1968 Cadillac.

This classic vehicle presented a unique obstacle for our installation crew- vintage paint. The Cadillac was in pretty good shape, however, defects occur on a vintage vehicle even with the most careful storage. The paint of the vehicle was on starting to bubble and was on the verge of peeling, meaning our crew had just one shot to make things right. But with careful hands and an extra dose of patience, the installation was completed flawlessly. We applied a ceramic coating to seal everything in and add an extra layer of protection.
